A Frame Apart
mounted photographic prints, sculpture and moving image
The work takes the form of two physical artworks and two moving images pieces. ‘A Frame Apart’ challenges the notion of truth and the facade of truth, as well as being a critique of the artist ‘persona’. The events take place in two parallel worlds, with the only difference being the photographic frame. In one world, like ours, the photographic frame is a rectangle, whereas in the other world, it is a triangle.
Because of this, the events, success and fate of the artist differ drastically in each world.
