May’s Lullaby depicts my desire to gain a connection with my grandmother. She is an actress and this plays into our relationship. As humans we have an expectation to hold our family in higher regard than everyone else, but I hardly know her. So I decided to research her characters, her fake lives. I began to discover fragments of memories in myself. The memories are all through the perspective of a screen. I decided that if I could document all that is fake, I could begin to discern what is real.
